19 April 2015 | Panama, Panama-stad
We met Brendan and his mother at the check in Schiphol, we met Brendan and his mother, and after dropping off our luggage, we all went to the Dakota café to have a drink, since we still had one and a half hours left before our gate would open.
When the time was finally there, me and Brendan said goodbye to our families, and, after buying some presents for our host family, boarded the plane. The first flight, which had Paris as its destination, took less than an hour. The second flight, from Paris to Panama City, took approximately 11 hours, so we had more than enough time to eat, sleep, watch some movies, et cetera. After arriving and waiting for more than an hour at the customs (the first thing the customs officer said to Brendan was ''Justin Bieber''), we were finally able to meet our host family, consisting of Annemiek and her three daughters (aged 10, 5 and 5). The younger ones were a bit reluctant to speak English, but since the oldest one, named Sophia, spoke English very well, we had a translator (and of course we had Annemiek, who can speak both English and Spanish, as well as Dutch).
Anyways, after being greeted by the 32C air, and driving past Panama city, we finally arrived at the place where we would spend most of our Wiswex: Annemiek's house. When we were done unpacking our stuff, we immediately went to bed, since for us it felt as if it was 3 am.
