06 Mei 2015 | Panama, Panama-stad

We got up early today (4.30 am), because we were going to San Blas (a group of islands). We had to be at Albrook at 5 am, so we could get picked up by our guide. We had to drive all the way to the Caribbean cost (we're staying at the Pacific side) which was a two hour drive. The ride itself was, well, not all that great, because the quality of the roads is quite bad, and we had to get over lots of hills.
Luckily, we all made it through the ride safely and without throwing up. After a little panicking (I thought I'd lost my bag, but luckily someone else had taken it out of the car), we got into the boat, and went on our way. Our first stop was a small island (something like 200x100 metres) just off the coast, filled with little houses in which the local natives lived (all of the natives were really small by the way). After the guide had picked up some snorkels for us, we went to Isla Aroma to pick up some people who had to get to one of the other 365 islands. We dropped them off and continued on our way to Isla Perro.
The island, just like the other ones, was beautiful. It was exactely like you'd imagine a Caribbean island to be like: palm trees, white sand, and clear water. The island also had a very old shipwreck nearby, which was of course a perfect place to go diving. Around and on the shipwreck were a ton of beautiful fishes and corals, which I had only ever seen before in a zoo. We spent about an hour there, before continueing our journey.
Our next stop was a 'natural swimming pool', which basically was a sand bank. We swam around a little with our snorkles (Brendan saw a 30cm big sea star), and went back to our boat, to go to another island to get lunch (rice with fish).
Last but not least was Isla Aroma (again, but this time we were allowed to actually go on the island). We dived a little, layed down on our towels, and watched the Champions League game between Barcelona and Bayern München (all Panamanians seem to be Barcelona fans). Sadly, Bayern lost, and even sadder: we had to go back to the mainland.
Our guide dropped us off at Albrook again, where Walter picked us up and brought us back to our home. We just had dinner, and we're probably going to bed soon, since we have to get up early tommorow (again), and want to get some extra rest since we're leaving Panama tomorrow night.
